The development of biotechnological processes, currently specialised in the area of microbial fermentation with genetically modified organisms, can be commenced at Heraeus with a micro-organism strain supplied by the client. It is a matter of course that Heraeus guarantees strictest confidentiality and secrecy regarding client know-how and IP rights.

- Testing and optimising microbial fermentation processes (up-stream) on a laboratory scale
- Testing and optimising subsequent product preparation and extraction (down-stream)
- Scale-up to a production level of up to 3000 ltr
- cGMP-conform recording documentation

- Production of clinical or pilot-registration batches under cGMP conditions
